A bill to be entitled
2An act relating to Marion County; repealing chapter 85-
3467, Laws of Florida, relating to municipal service taxing
4units for road improvements in unincorporated areas and
5the levying of special assessments within the territorial
6boundaries of such units; ratifying the levy of such
7special assessments invalidated or made subject to
8invalidation for failure to follow requirements of the
9chapter law prior to its repeal by this act; providing an
10effective date.

12Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

14     Section 1.  Chapter 85-467, Laws of Florida, is repealed.
15     Section 2.  The levy of special assessments by the Board of
16County Commissioners of Marion County for the purpose of
17improving roads in any unincorporated area of the county, which
18assessments are invalidated or subject to invalidation for
19failure to follow any requirements of chapter 85-467, Laws of
20Florida, prior to its repeal by this act, including, but not
21limited to, the failure to secure referendum or petition consent
22of at least 51 percent of the landowners, is hereby ratified,
23validated, and confirmed, and such special assessments are
24declared to be legal and valid in all respects.
25     Section 3.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a law.
