       Senator Altman moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Delete everything after the enacting clause
    4  and insert:
    5         Section 1. Paragraph (d) is added to subsection (1) of
    6  section 394.875, Florida Statutes, to read:
    7         394.875 Crisis stabilization units, residential treatment
    8  facilities, and residential treatment centers for children and
    9  adolescents; authorized services; license required.—
   10         (1)
   11         (d) The department is directed to implement a demonstration
   12  project in circuit 18 to test the impact of expanding beds
   13  authorized in crisis stabilization units from 30 to 50 beds.
   14  Specifically, the department is directed to authorize existing
   15  public or private crisis stabilization units in circuit 18 to
   16  expand bed capacity to a maximum of 50 beds and to assess the
   17  impact such expansion would have on the availability of crisis
   18  stabilization services to clients.
   19         Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2011.

   24  and insert:
   25                        A bill to be entitled                      
   26         An act relating to crisis stabilization units;
   27         amending s. 394.875, F.S.; directing the Department of
   28         Children and Family Services to implement a
   29         demonstration project in circuit 18 to test the impact
   30         of expanding the maximum number of crisis
   31         stabilization unit beds; providing an effective date.
