       Senator Sachs moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)

    3         Between lines 3657 and 3658
    4  insert:
    5         Section 91. Subsection (10) of section 402.305, Florida
    6  Statutes, is amended to read:
    7         402.305 Licensing standards; child care facilities.—
    8         (10) TRANSPORTATION SAFETY.—
    9         (a) Minimum standards shall include requirements for child
   10  restraints or seat belts in vehicles used by child care
   11  facilities and large family child care homes to transport
   12  children, requirements for annual inspections of the vehicles,
   13  limitations on the number of children in the vehicles, and
   14  accountability for children being transported.
   15         (b)1.On or before January 1, 2012, such vehicles must be
   16  equipped with an alarm system approved by the department which
   17  prompts the driver to inspect the vehicle for children before
   18  exiting such vehicle.
   19         2. The department shall adopt rules to administer this
   20  paragraph and shall maintain a list of alarm manufacturers and
   21  alarm systems that are approved to be installed in such
   22  vehicles.

   25         And the title is amended as follows:

   27  insert:
   28         amending s. 402.305, F.S.; requiring vehicles used by
   29         child care facilities and large family child care
   30         homes to be equipped with an alarm system that prompts
   31         the driver to inspect the vehicle for children before
   32         exiting the vehicle; requiring the Department of
   33         Children and Family Services to adopt rules and
   34         maintain a list of approved alarm systems;
