    1                        A bill to be entitled                      
    2         An act relating to radio frequency identification
    3         tags; requiring retailers to remove radio frequency
    4         identification tags upon the purchase of an item or
    5         product having a tag; providing an effective date.

    7  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
    8  
    9         Section 1. Radio frequency identification tags;
   10  deactivation.—A retailer that sells an item or product having a
   11  radio frequency identification tag must deactivate or remove the
   12  tag upon purchase of the item or product by a consumer.
   13         Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2011.
