       Senator Siplin moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment to Amendment (404618) (with title
    2  amendment)
    3  
    4         Delete lines 1886 - 1940
    5  and insert:
    6         Section 38. Paragraph (d) of subsection (1) of section
    7  101.657, Florida Statutes, is amended to read:
    8         101.657 Early voting.—
    9         (1)
   10         (d) Early voting shall begin on the 15th day before an
   11  election that contains state or federal races and end on the 2nd
   12  day before the an election. For purposes of a special election
   13  held pursuant to s. 100.101, early voting shall begin on the 8th
   14  day before an election and end on the 2nd day before an
   15  election. Early voting shall be provided for 8 hours per weekday
   16  and 8 hours in the aggregate each weekend at each site during
   17  the applicable periods. The supervisor of elections may provide
   18  early voting for elections that are not held in conjunction with
   19  a state or federal election. However, the supervisor has the
   20  discretion to determine the hours of operation of early voting
   21  sites in those elections. Early voting sites shall open no
   22  sooner than 7 a.m. and close no later than 7 p.m. on each
   23  applicable day.

   28  and insert:
   29         F.S.; clarifying the early voting period for elections
   30         with state or federal races; authorizing a supervisor
   31         of elections to provide early voting for elections not
   32         held in conjunction with a state or federal election;
