       Senator Diaz de la Portilla moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment to Amendment (404618) (with title
    2  amendment)
    3  
    4         Delete lines 543 - 552
    5  and insert:
    6         Section 12. Subsections (5) and (7) of section 99.012,
    7  Florida Statutes, are amended to read:
    8         99.012 Restrictions on individuals qualifying for public
    9  office.—
   10         (5) If an order of a court that has become final determines
   11  that a person did not comply with this section, the person shall
   12  not be qualified as a candidate for election and his or her name
   13  may not appear on the ballot. The name of any person who does
   14  not comply with this section may be removed from every ballot on
   15  which it appears when ordered by a circuit court upon the
   16  petition of an elector or the Department of State.
   17         (7) Nothing contained in subsection (3) relates to persons
   18  holding any federal office or seeking the office of President or
   19  Vice President.
