| 4 | Remove lines 1592-1602 and insert: |
| 5 | (2) A local government may establish by agreement, |
| 6 | resolution, or ordinance a sign permit fee schedule and may |
| 7 | assess fees for sign permits. The fee schedule must be based on |
| 8 | the actual cost of administering the local government sign |
| 9 | permitting program, the fee may not exceed the actual cost of |
| 10 | administering the program, and the local government shall |
| 11 | maintain information to justify the cost of administering the |
| 12 | program. |
| 13 | (3) The provisions of this section do not apply to a sign |
| 14 | on property on which a governmental entity has a property |
| 15 | interest. This section does not affect the validity of any other |
| 16 | aspect of any agreement, resolution, or ordinance regarding |
| 17 | signs or require the removal of any sign or repayment of any |
| 18 | fees already paid. A local government that requires the removal |
| 19 | of a sign as the result of the adoption of this section must |
| 20 | adhere to the provision of s. 70.20(2). |
