       The Committee on Commerce and Tourism (Detert) recommended the
       following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Delete lines 22 - 45
    4  and insert:
    5  dealer, provide a written disclosure of the week and year of
    6  manufacture of the replacement tire to the purchaser. The
    7  disclosure must be included on the customer's receipt, in at
    8  least 10-point bold type. The disclosure must be initialed and
    9  dated by the purchaser, who must be given a copy, and the dealer
   10  must retain the original for at least 3 years. The disclosure
   11  shall include the following information:
   12         (a) The week and year the tire was manufactured; and
   13         (b) The length of the remaining factory warranty on the
   14  tire.
   15         (2) This section does not affect any rights or duties
   16  provided under other applicable laws.
   17         (3) This section does not apply to the private sale of used
   18  tires or tires sold in the course of the sale or resale of
   19  vehicles.

   23         And the title is amended as follows:
   24         Delete lines 4 - 5
   25  and insert:
