       The Committee on Health Regulation (Diaz de la Portilla)
       recommended the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Between lines 34 and 35
    4  insert:
    5         (c) After the applicant has passed the examinations
    6  required in this section to practice dentistry in this state,
    7  the applicant must complete a six month internship prior to
    8  licensure. The intern must be supervised by a dentist licensed
    9  under this chapter. The intern may be compensated for services
   10  that are rendered during the internship.

   13         And the title is amended as follows:
   14         Delete line 8
   15  and insert:
   16         such examinations; requiring an applicant to complete
   17         an internship for licensure; providing for supervision
   18         of the intern; providing that an intern may be
   19         compensated for services; providing an effective date.
