       The Committee on Judiciary (Richter) recommended the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Delete everything after the enacting clause
    4  and insert:
    5         Section 1. Subsection (17) is added to section 627.736,
    6  Florida Statutes, to read:
    7         627.736 Required personal injury protection benefits;
    8  exclusions; priority; claims.—
    9         (17) ATTORNEY’S FEES.—Notwithstanding s. 627.428, the
   10  attorney’s fees recovered under ss. 627.730-627.7407 shall be
   11  calculated without regard to any contingency risk multiplier.
   12         Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2011.

   19                        A bill to be entitled                      
   20         An act relating to motor vehicle personal injury
   21         protection insurance; amending s. 627.736, F.S.;
   22         providing that attorney’s fees are calculated without
   23         regard to a contingency risk multiplier; providing an
   24         effective date.
