    1                        A bill to be entitled                      
    2         An act relating to the sale or lease of a county,
    3         district, or municipal hospital; amending s. 155.40,
    4         F.S.; requiring the Legislature to approve the sale or
    5         lease of a county, district, or municipal hospital to
    6         a not-for-profit Florida corporation; providing an
    7         effective date.

    9  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

   11         Section 1. Subsection (9) is added to section 155.40,
   12  Florida Statutes, to read:
   13         155.40 Sale or lease of county, district, or municipal
   14  hospital; effect of sale.—
   15         (9) The sale or lease of a county, district, or municipal
   16  hospital to a not-for-profit Florida corporation must be
   17  approved by the Legislature.
   18         Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2011.
