Senator Bogdanoff moved the following:

3 Delete lines 27 - 52
4 and insert:
5 Section 1. Subsection (1) of section 790.053, Florida
6 Statutes, is amended to read:
7 790.053 Open carrying of weapons.—
8 (1) Except as otherwise provided by law and in subsection
9 (2), it is unlawful for any person to openly carry on or about
10 his or her person any firearm or electric weapon or device. It
11 shall not be a violation of this section for a person who is
12 licensed to carry a concealed firearm, and who is lawfully
13 carrying it in a concealed manner, to accidentally or
14 inadvertently display the firearm to the ordinary sight of
15 another person so long as the firearm is not displayed in a
16 rude, angry, or threatening manner.
17 Section 2. Paragraph (c) of subsection (5) and subsection
18 (12) of section 790.06, Florida Statutes, are amended to read:
19 790.06 License to carry concealed weapon or firearm.—

22 And the title is amended as follows:
23 Delete lines 2 - 5
24 and insert:
25 An act relating to firearms; amending s. 790.053,
26 F.S.; providing that person in compliance with the
27 terms of a concealed carry license is not in violation
28 of s. 790.053(1), F.S., when the concealed firearm is
29 accidentally or inadvertently displayed to the
30 ordinary sight of another person; amending s. 790.06,
31 F.S.; allowing
