       The Committee on Regulated Industries (Wise) recommended the
       following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment 
    2  
    3         Delete lines 29 - 30
    4  and insert:
    5  against the design professional who performs professional
    6  services within the scope of the claimant’s contract for the
    7  recovery of economic damages resulting from a construction
    8  defect.
