    1                        A bill to be entitled                      
    2         An act relating to municipal governing body meetings;
    3         creating s. 166.0213, F.S.; authorizing the governing
    4         bodies of certain municipalities to hold meetings
    5         within specified boundaries; providing an effective
    6         date.

    8  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
    9  
   10         Section 1. Section 166.0213, Florida Statutes, is created
   11  to read:
   12         166.0213 Governing body meetings.—The governing body of a
   13  municipality having a population of 500 or fewer residents may
   14  hold meetings within 5 miles of the exterior jurisdictional
   15  boundary of the municipality at such time and place as may be
   16  prescribed by ordinance or resolution.
   17         Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2011.
