       Senator Richter moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Between lines 429 and 430
    4  insert:
    5         Section 8. Subsection (7) is added to section 626.852,
    6  Florida Statutes, to read:
    7         626.852 Scope of this part.—
    8         (7) Notwithstanding any other provision of law, a person
    9  who provides claims adjusting services solely to institutions
   10  that service or guarantee mortgages with regards to policies
   11  covering the mortgaged properties is exempt from licensure as an
   12  adjuster. This exemption does not apply to any person who
   13  provides insurance, property repair, or preservation services or
   14  to any affiliate of such persons.
