       The Committee on Rules (Thrasher and Gaetz) recommended the
       following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment 
    2  
    3         Delete lines 222 - 235
    4  and insert:
    5         Section 4. The amount paid by the Broward County Sheriff’s
    6  Office pursuant to s. 768.28, Florida Statutes, and the amount
    7  awarded under this act are intended to provide the sole
    8  compensation for all claims arising out of the facts described
    9  in this act which resulted in the injuries to Eric Brody. The
   10  total amount of attorney’s fees, lobbying fees, costs, and other
   11  similar expenses may not exceed 25 percent of the total amount
   12  awarded under sections 2 and 3 of this act, which shall include
   13  any fees earned and amounts recovered in the prosecution of any
   14  assigned claim as permitted under section 2 of this act.
