                         General Appropriations Act.

Contracts shall include a provision that requires impacted employees to 
be given first consideration for employment with the private provider.

AND INSERT:

Current Department of Corrections employees who are affected by the 
health services and prison privatization initiatives shall be given 
first preference for continued employment by the contractors.  The 
department shall make reasonable efforts to find a suitable job 
placement for employees who wish to remain state employees.
