3     Amendment (with title amendment)
4     Remove lines 241-248 and insert:
5     (d)  "Chronic nonmalignant pain" means pain unrelated to
6cancer or rheumatoid arthritis which persists beyond the usual
7course of disease or the injury that is the cause of the pain or
8more than 90 days after surgery.
9     (e)  "Mental health addiction facility" means a facility
10licensed under chapter 394 or chapter 397.
11     (2)  REGISTRATION.-Effective January 1, 2012, a physician
12licensed under chapter 458, chapter 459, chapter 461, or chapter
13466 who prescribes any controlled substance, as defined in s.
14893.03, for the treatment of chronic nonmalignant pain, must:
15     (a)  Designate himself or herself as a controlled substance
16prescribing practitioner on the physician's practitioner
17profile.
