| 9 | beverages for consumption on or off the premises; |

| 12 | Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: |
| 13 |

| 14 | Section 1. Section 561.422, Florida Statutes, is amended |
| 15 | to read: |
| 16 | 561.422 Nonprofit civic organizations; temporary permits.- |
| 17 | Upon the filing of an application, presentation of a local |
| 18 | building and zoning permit, and payment of a fee of $25 per |
| 19 | permit, the director of the division may issue a permit |
| 20 | authorizing a bona fide nonprofit civic organization to sell |
| 21 | alcoholic beverages for consumption on or off the premises only, |
| 22 | for a period not to exceed 3 days, subject to any state law or |
| 23 | municipal or county ordinance regulating the time for selling |
| 24 | such beverages. All net profits from sales of alcoholic |
| 25 | beverages collected during the permit period must be retained by |
| 26 | the nonprofit civic organization. Any such civic organization |
| 27 | may be issued only three such permits per calendar year. |
| 28 | Notwithstanding other provisions of the Beverage Law, any civic |
| 29 | organization licensed under this section may purchase alcoholic |
| 30 | beverages from a distributor or vendor licensed under the |
| 31 | Beverage Law. |
| 32 | Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2011. |
