       The Committee on Education Pre-K - 12 (Benacquisto) recommended
       the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Between lines 320 and 321
    4  insert:
    5         (6) The failure of the members of the governing body of a
    6  local governmental entity or the failure of the members of a
    7  district school board to resolve a state of financial emergency
    8  constitutes malfeasance, misfeasance, and neglect of duty for
    9  purposes of s. 7, Art. IV of the State Constitution.

   12         And the title is amended as follows:
   13         Delete line 19
   14  and insert:
   15         support services; providing that the members of the
   16         governing body of a local governmental entity or the
   17         members of a district school board who fail to resolve
   18         a state of financial emergency are subject to
   19         suspension or removal from office; providing an
   20         effective date.
