       The Committee on Criminal Justice (Margolis) recommended the
       following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment 
    2  
    3         Delete lines 28 - 35
    4  and insert:
    5  forth in s. 817.67(2). It is not a violation of this subsection
    6  for a retailer or retail employee, in the ordinary course of
    7  business, to: possess, receive, or return a credit card or debit
    8  card that the retailer or retail employee does not know was
    9  stolen; or possess, receive, or retain a credit card or debit
   10  card that the retailer or retail employee knows is stolen for
   11  the purpose of an investigation into the circumstances regarding
   12  the theft of the card or its possible unlawful use.
