       The Committee on Health Regulation (Diaz de la Portilla)
       recommended the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Delete lines 224 - 227
    4  and insert:
    5         a. “Chronic nonmalignant pain” means pain unrelated to
    6  cancer, or rheumatoid arthritis, or sickle cell anemia which
    7  persists beyond the usual course of disease or beyond the injury
    8  that is the cause of the pain or which persists more than 90
    9  days after surgery.
