    1                          Senate Resolution                        
    2         A resolution commending those who serve as election
    3         day officials at polling places throughout Florida for
    4         their outstanding service and dedication.
    5  
    6         WHEREAS, freedom is best maintained and nurtured through
    7  the democratic process, which requires fair and open elections
    8  that accurately reflect the intent of the electorate, and
    9         WHEREAS, the supervisors of elections have long relied upon
   10  election day officials to assist them in administering
   11  elections, and
   12         WHEREAS, those seeking to become election officials are
   13  extraordinarily committed in attending training sessions to
   14  learn policies, procedures, and responsibilities to ensure that
   15  voting is administered in a fair, nondiscriminatory, and
   16  transparent manner, and
   17         WHEREAS, election day officials enthusiastically assist
   18  fellow citizens during the election process with early voting
   19  and at polling places, ensuring accurate and trouble-free
   20  elections along with timely results, and
   21         WHEREAS, election day officials are responsible for
   22  administering all activities at polling places in Florida, and
   23  have remained willing, positive, and innovative throughout the
   24  many changes in election procedures, policies, and voting
   25  equipment, and
   26         WHEREAS, election day officials have served as ambassadors
   27  of the supervisors of elections and have contributed to the high
   28  level of integrity in the election process in Florida, NOW,
   29  THEREFORE,

   31  Be It Resolved by the Senate of the State of Florida:

   33         That the Senate commends those who serve as election day
   34  officials at polling places throughout Florida for their
   35  outstanding service and dedication.
