    1         Senate Amendment 
    2  
    3         Delete line 53
    4  and insert:
    5  Native American tribes in this state. The term also does not
    6  include any law, legal code, or system of a jurisdiction outside
    7  the United States, which, through application of conflict-of
    8  laws principles, permits the use of United States law, federal
    9  or state, in a proceeding before that jurisdiction’s courts,
   10  administrative bodies, or other formal or informal tribunals.
