       The Committee on Transportation (Garcia) recommended the
       following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Delete lines 36 - 85
    4  and insert:
    5         125.01035 Passenger vehicles for hire; accepted methods of
    6  payment for passenger fares.—A county may not prohibit the
    7  payment of passenger fares for a taxicab, limousine, jitney, or
    8  other passenger vehicle for hire by cash, check, or similar
    9  method of payment.
   10         Section 3. Section 166.0433, Florida Statutes, is created
   11  to read:
   12         166.0433 Passenger vehicles for hire; accepted methods of
   13  payment for passenger fares.—A municipality may not prohibit the
   14  payment of passenger fares for a taxicab, limousine, jitney, or
   15  other passenger vehicle for hire by cash, check, or similar
   16  method of payment.
