       Senators Smith, Braynon, Gibson, Joyner, and Siplin moved the
       following:
       
    1         Senate Substitute for Amendment (311622) (with title
    2  amendment)

    4         Between lines 39 and 40
    5  insert:
    6         Section 2. Paragraph (d) of subsection (1) of section
    7  101.657, Florida Statutes, is amended to read:
    8         101.657 Early voting.—
    9         (1)
   10         (d) Early voting shall begin on the 10th day before an
   11  election that contains state or federal races and end on the 2nd
   12  3rd day before the election, and shall be provided for no less
   13  than 6 hours and no more than 12 hours per day at each site
   14  during the applicable period. The supervisor of elections may
   15  provide early voting for elections that are not held in
   16  conjunction with a state or federal election. However, the
   17  supervisor has the discretion to determine the hours of
   18  operation of early voting sites in those elections. In addition,
   19  each supervisor of elections may allow early voting on the
   20  Sunday before the day of a primary or general election. If early
   21  voting on Sunday is conducted, it shall be provided for not less
   22  than 6 hours and no more than 12 hours at each site.

   27  and insert:
   28         legal residence; amending s. 101.657, F.S.; providing
   29         for early voting on the Sunday before the day of a
   30         primary or general election at the discretion of the
   31         supervisor of elections; amending s. 106.025, F.S.;
   32         requiring
