       The Committee on Budget Subcommittee on Health and Human
       Services Appropriations (Garcia) recommended the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Between lines 55 and 56
    4  insert:
    5         Section 2. Subsection (21) is added to section 409.9122,
    6  Florida Statutes, to read:
    7         409.9122 Mandatory Medicaid managed care enrollment;
    8  programs and procedures.—
    9         (21) Until recipients are enrolled in plans pursuant to s.
   10  409.966, all hospitals shall be deemed to be part of a managed
   11  care plan’s network at the time of its application for
   12  participation or expansion in the Medicaid program under this
   13  section. Payment by a managed care plan to such hospitals must
   14  be in accordance with s. 409.975(1)(a). This subsection expires
   15  October 1, 2014.

   18         And the title is amended as follows:
   19         Delete line 5
   20  and insert:
   21         hospital inpatient rates; amending s. 409.9122, F.S.;
   22         providing that hospitals are deemed to part of a
   23         managed care plan at the time of the plan’s
   24         application for participation in the Medicaid program;
   25         providing for future expiration; providing an
   26         effective date.
