       The Committee on Transportation (Storms) recommended the
       following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Between lines 3505 and 3506
    4  insert:
    5         Section 68. Subsection (6) of section 401.25, Florida
    6  Statutes, is amended to read:
    7         401.25 Licensure as a basic life support or an advanced
    8  life support service.—
    9         (6) The governing body of each county may adopt ordinances
   10  that provide reasonable standards for certificates of public
   11  convenience and necessity for basic or advanced life support
   12  services and air ambulance services. In developing such
   13  standards for certificates of public convenience and necessity,
   14  the governing body of each county must consider state
   15  guidelines, recommendations of the local or regional trauma
   16  agency created under chapter 395, and the recommendations of
   17  municipalities within its jurisdiction. Notwithstanding the
   18  foregoing, a county agency or governing body may not place
   19  restrictions or limitations on the types of transports that may
   20  be performed by a licensee and any existing restrictions are
   21  void.
