       Senator Lynn moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Between lines 1029 and 1030
    4  insert:
    5         Section 29. The Higher Education Coordinating Council,
    6  created pursuant to s. 1004.015, Florida Statutes, shall review
    7  and evaluate the current higher education governance structure
    8  in this state and shall make recommendations to the Legislature
    9  regarding potential revisions to the higher education delivery
   10  system to improve student services, access, affordability, and
   11  accountability. At a minimum, the council shall consider
   12  academics, fiscal efficiencies, and regional demographics. The
   13  council shall report its findings and recommendations to the
   14  Governor, the President of the Senate, and the Speaker of the
   15  House of Representatives.
