A bill to be entitled
2An act relating to designation of state transportation
3facilities; providing honorary designations of various
4transportation facilities in specified counties;
5amending ss. 24 and 45, ch. 2010-230, Laws of Florida;
6revising certain designations in Miami-Dade County;
7directing the Department of Transportation to erect
8suitable markers; providing an effective date.

10Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
11
12     Section 1.  Edna S. Hargrett-Thrower Avenue designated;
13Department of Transportation to erect suitable markers.-
14     (1)  That portion of Orange Blossom Trail between W. Gore
15Street and W. Church Street in Orange County is designated as
16"Edna S. Hargrett-Thrower Avenue."
17     (2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to erect
18suitable markers designating Edna S. Hargrett-Thrower Avenue as
19described in subsection (1).
20     Section 2.  SP4 Thomas Berry Corbin Memorial Highway
21designated; Department of Transportation to erect suitable
22markers.-
23     (1)  That portion of U.S. Highway 19/27A/98/State Road 55
24between the Suwannee River Bridge and N.E. 592nd Street/Chavous
25Road/Kate Green Road in Dixie County is designated as "SP4
26Thomas Berry Corbin Memorial Highway."
27     (2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to erect
28suitable markers designating SP4 Thomas Berry Corbin Memorial
29Highway as described in subsection (1).
30     Section 3.  U.S. Navy BMC Samuel Calhoun Chavous, Jr.
31Memorial Highway designated; Department of Transportation to
32erect suitable markers.-
33     (1)  That portion of U.S. Highway 19/98/State Road 55
34between N.E. 592nd Street/Chavous Road/Kate Green Road and N.E.
35170th Street in Dixie County is designated as "U.S. Navy BMC
36Samuel Calhoun Chavous, Jr. Memorial Highway."
37     (2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to erect
38suitable markers designating U.S. Navy BMC Samuel Calhoun
39Chavous, Jr. Memorial Highway as described in subsection (1).
40     Section 4.  Marine Lance Corporal Brian R. Buesing Memorial
41Highway designated; Department of Transportation to erect
42suitable markers.-
43     (1)  That portion of State Road 24 between County Road 347
44and Bridge Number 340053 in Levy County is designated as "Marine
45Lance Corporal Brian R. Buesing Memorial Highway."
46     (2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to erect
47suitable markers designating Marine Lance Corporal Brian R.
48Buesing Memorial Highway as described in subsection (1).
49     Section 5.  United States Army Sergeant Karl A. Campbell
50Memorial Highway designated; Department of Transportation to
51erect suitable markers.-
52     (1)  That portion of U.S. Highway 19/98/State Road 55/S.
53Main Street between N.W. 1st Avenue and S.E. 2nd Avenue in Levy
54County is designated as "United States Army Sergeant Karl A.
55Campbell Memorial Highway."
56     (2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to erect
57suitable markers designating United States Army Sergeant Karl A.
58Campbell Memorial Highway as described in subsection (1).
59     Section 6.  U.S. Army SPC James A. Page Memorial Highway
60designated; Department of Transportation to erect suitable
61markers.-
62     (1)  That portion of U.S. Highway 27A/State Road
63500/Hathaway Avenue between State Road 24/Thrasher Drive and
64Town Court in Levy County is designated as "U.S. Army SPC James
65A. Page Memorial Highway."
66     (2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to erect
67suitable markers designating U.S. Army SPC James A. Page
68Memorial Highway as described in subsection (1).
69     Section 7.  Veterans Memorial Highway designated;
70Department of Transportation to erect suitable markers.-
71     (1)  That portion of State Road 19 between U.S. Highway
7217/State Road 15 and Carriage Drive in the City of Palatka in
73Putnam County is designated as "Veterans Memorial Highway."
74     (2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to erect
75suitable markers designating Veterans Memorial Highway as
76described in subsection (1).
77     Section 8.  Ben G. Watts Highway designated; Department of
78Transportation to erect suitable markers.-
79     (1)  That portion of U.S. Highway 90 in Washington County
80between the Jackson County line and the Holmes County line at
81the Holmes Creek Bridge is designated as "Ben G. Watts Highway."
82     (2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to erect
83suitable markers designating Ben G. Watts Highway as described
84in subsection (1).
85     Section 9.  Mardi Gras Way designated; Department of
86Transportation to erect suitable markers.-
87     (1)  That portion of State Road 824 between Interstate 95
88and U.S. Highway 1 in Broward County is designated as "Mardi
89Gras Way."
90     (2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to erect
91suitable markers designating Mardi Gras Way as described in
92subsection (1).
93     Section 10.  West Park Boulevard designated; Department of
94Transportation to erect suitable markers.-
95     (1)  That portion of State Road 7 between Pembroke Road and
96County Line Road in Broward County is designated as "West Park
97Boulevard."
98     (2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to erect
99suitable markers designating West Park Boulevard as described in
100subsection (1).
101     Section 11.  Pembroke Park Boulevard designated; Department
102of Transportation to erect suitable markers.-
103     (1)  That portion of State Road 858/Hallandale Beach
104Boulevard between Interstate 95 and U.S. Highway 441/State Road
1057 in Broward County is designated as "Pembroke Park Boulevard."
106     (2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to erect
107suitable markers designating Pembroke Park Boulevard as
108described in subsection (1).
109     Section 12.  Stark Memorial Drive designated; Department of
110Transportation to erect suitable markers.-
111     (1)  That portion of State Road 101/Mayport Road between
112State Road A1A and Wonderwood Connector in Duval County is
113designated as "Stark Memorial Drive."
114     (2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to erect
115suitable markers designating Stark Memorial Drive as described
116in subsection (1).
117     Section 13.  Duval County Law Enforcement Memorial Overpass
118designated; Department of Transportation to erect suitable
119markers.-
120     (1)  The Interstate 295/State Road 9A overpass (Bridge
121Numbers 720256 and 720347) over Interstate 10/State Road 8 in
122Duval County is designated as "Duval County Law Enforcement
123Memorial Overpass."
124     (2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to erect
125suitable markers designating Duval County Law Enforcement
126Memorial Overpass as described in subsection (1).
127     Section 14.  Verna Bell Way designated; Department of
128Transportation to erect suitable markers.-
129     (1)  That portion of State Road 200 between Lime Street and
130Beech Street in the City of Fernandina Beach in Nassau County is
131designated as "Verna Bell Way."
132     (2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to erect
133suitable markers designating Verna Bell Way as described in
134subsection (1).
135     Section 15.  Deputy Hal P. Croft and Deputy Ronald Jackson
136Memorial Highway designated; Department of Transportation to
137erect suitable markers.-
138     (1)  That portion of State Road 100 East in Union County
139between the Bradford County line and the Columbia County line is
140designated as "Deputy Hal P. Croft and Deputy Ronald Jackson
141Memorial Highway."
142     (2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to erect
143suitable markers designating Deputy Hal P. Croft and Deputy
144Ronald Jackson Memorial Highway as described in subsection (1).
145     Section 16.  Dr. Oscar Elias Biscet Boulevard designated;
146Department of Transportation to erect suitable markers.-
147     (1)  That portion of Coral Way between S.W. 32nd Avenue and
148S.W. 37th Avenue in Miami-Dade County is designated as "Dr.
149Oscar Elias Biscet Boulevard."
150     (2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to erect
151suitable markers designating Dr. Oscar Elias Biscet Boulevard as
152described in subsection (1).
153     Section 17.  Hugh Anderson Boulevard designated; Department
154of Transportation to erect suitable markers.-
155     (1)  That portion of Biscayne Boulevard between N.E. 88th
156Street and N.E. 105th Street in Miami Shores Village in Miami-
157Dade County is designated as "Hugh Anderson Boulevard."
158     (2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to erect
159suitable markers designating Hugh Anderson Boulevard as
160described in subsection (1).
161     Section 18.  Palmetto General Hospital Way designated;
162Department of Transportation to erect suitable markers.-
163     (1)  That portion of W. 20th Avenue between W. 68th Street
164and W. 73rd Street in Miami-Dade County is designated as
165"Palmetto General Hospital Way."
166     (2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to erect
167suitable markers designating Palmetto General Hospital Way as
168described in subsection (1).
169     Section 19.  Alma Lee Loy Bridge designated; Department of
170Transportation to erect suitable markers.-
171     (1)  The bridge on State Road 656 between State Road A1A
172and Indian River Boulevard in the City of Vero Beach in Indian
173River County is designated as "Alma Lee Loy Bridge."
174     (2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to erect
175suitable markers designating Alma Lee Loy Bridge as described in
176subsection (1).
177     Section 20.  Samuel B. Love Memorial Highway designated;
178Department of Transportation to erect suitable markers.-
179     (1)  That portion of Sunset Harbor Road between S.E. 105th
180Avenue and S.E. 115th Avenue in Marion County is designated as
181"Samuel B. Love Memorial Highway."
182     (2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to erect
183suitable markers designating Samuel B. Love Memorial Highway as
184described in subsection (1).
185     Section 21.  Section 24 of chapter 2010-230, Laws of
186Florida, is amended to read:
187     Section 24.  Miss Lillie Williams Boulevard designated;
188Department of Transportation to erect suitable markers.-
189     (1)  That portion of N.W. 79th Street between N.W. 6th
190Avenue and N.W. 7th E. 12th Avenue in Miami-Dade County is
191designated as "Miss Lillie Williams Boulevard."
192     (2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to erect
193suitable markers designating Miss Lillie Williams Boulevard as
194described in subsection (1).
195     Section 22.  Section 45 of chapter 2010-230, Laws of
196Florida, is amended to read:
197     Section 45.  Father Gerard Jean-Juste Street designated;
198Department of Transportation to erect suitable markers.-
199     (1)  That portion of N.W. 54th Street in Miami-Dade County
200between N.W. 2nd Avenue and N.E. N.W. 3rd Avenue in Little Haiti
201is designated "Father Gerard Jean-Juste Street."
202     (2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to erect
203suitable markers designating Father Gerard Jean-Juste Street as
204described in subsection (1).
205     Section 23.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2012.
