    1                        A bill to be entitled                      
    2         An act relating to the Children and Youth Cabinet;
    3         amending s. 402.56, F.S.; requiring that the Children
    4         and Youth Cabinet meet at least four times each year,
    5         but no more than six times each year; providing an
    6         effective date.

    8  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

   10         Section 1. Paragraph (c) of subsection (3) of section
   11  402.56, Florida Statutes, is amended to read:
   12         402.56 Children’s cabinet; organization; responsibilities;
   13  annual report.—
   14         (3) ORGANIZATION.—There is created the Children and Youth
   15  Cabinet, which is a coordinating council as defined in s. 20.03.
   16         (c) The cabinet shall meet for its organizational session
   17  no later than October 1, 2007. Thereafter, The cabinet shall
   18  meet at least four six times each year, but no more than six
   19  times each year, in different regions of the state in order to
   20  solicit input from the public and any other individual offering
   21  testimony relevant to the issues considered. Each meeting must
   22  include a public comment session.
   23         Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2012.
