    1                        A bill to be entitled                      
    2         An act relating to the postsecondary education of
    3         military veterans; requiring that any veteran who
    4         meets specified criteria be admitted to any Florida
    5         College System institution or state university of the
    6         veteran’s choice; providing an effective date.

    8  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
    9  
   10         Section 1. Any veteran of the United States Armed Forces
   11  who was a resident of this state 4 years before entering
   12  military service and who holds an associate degree or has earned
   13  at least 60 college credit hours from a Florida College System
   14  institution shall be admitted to any Florida College System
   15  institution or state university of the veteran’s choice.
   16         Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2012.
