| 4 | entities, and not-for-profit organizations; providing |
| 5 | a limitation on the salaries of employees of certain |
| 6 | nongovernmental organizations, quasi-governmental |
| 7 | entities, and not-for-profit organizations; providing |
| 8 | a means for approval of salaries in excess of such |
| 9 | limitation; providing an effective date. |

| 11 | Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: |
| 12 |

| 13 | Section 1. An employee of a nongovernmental organization, |
| 14 | quasi-governmental entity, or not-for-profit organization may |
| 15 | not receive a salary, whether base pay or base pay combined with |
| 16 | any bonus or incentive payments, in excess of the salary paid to |
| 17 | the highest-paid statewide elected official, as established in |
| 18 | the General Appropriations Act, if the nongovernmental |
| 19 | organization, quasi-governmental entity, or not-for-profit |
| 20 | organization receives two-thirds or more of its budget from |
| 21 | state-appropriated funds, including state-appropriated federal |
| 22 | funds, unless that organization or entity receives approval from |
| 23 | the Legislative Budget Commission. |
| 24 | Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2012. |
