    2         An act relating to shared county and state
    3         responsibility for juvenile detention; amending s.
    4         985.686, F.S.; redefining the term “detention care” to
    5         include respite beds for juveniles charged with
    6         domestic violence; providing an effective date.

    8  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

   10         Section 1. Paragraph (a) of subsection (2) of section
   11  985.686, Florida Statutes, is amended to read:
   12         985.686 Shared county and state responsibility for juvenile
   13  detention.—
   14         (2) As used in this section, the term:
   15         (a) “Detention care” means secure detention and respite
   16  beds for juveniles charged with a domestic violence crime.
   17         Section 2. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law.
