       The Committee on Regulated Industries (Bogdanoff) recommended
       the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment to Amendment (566168) 
    2  
    3         Delete lines 3368 - 3394
    4  and insert:
    5         Section 53. Subsections (15) and (16) are added and
    6  subsection (10) of section 550.054, Florida Statutes, is amended
    7  to read:
    8         550.054 Application for permit to conduct pari-mutuel
    9  wagering.—
   10         (10) If a permitholder has failed to complete construction
   11  of at least 50 percent of the facilities necessary to conduct
   12  pari-mutuel operations within 12 months after approval by the
   13  voters of the permit, the division shall revoke the permit upon
   14  adequate notice to the permitholder. However, the division, upon
   15  good cause shown by the permitholder, may grant one extension of
   16  up to 12 months.
   17         (15) The division shall revoke the permit upon adequate
   18  notice to the permitholder if the permitholder has not conducted
   19  a full schedule of live racing or games prior to January 15,
   20  2012.
   21         (16) Notwithstanding any provision of this chapter, no
   22  pari-mutuel permit may be issued after July 1, 2012.
