       Senator Altman moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Substitute for Amendment (472686) (with title
    2  amendment)
    3  
    4         Between lines 5918 and 5919
    5  insert:
    6         Section 2. Consistent with s. 16, Article III of the State
    7  Constitution, senatorial districts shall be numbered
    8  consecutively. For the districts along the northern boundary of
    9  the state, sequential numbers shall be from west to east. The
   10  remaining districts shall be numbered north to south. Sequential
   11  numbers shall be assigned to districts based on the northernmost
   12  boundary of the district. In the event two or more district
   13  northern boundaries are equal, the westernmost district shall
   14  have the lower number.
