       The Committee on Appropriations (Richter) recommended the
       following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment 
    2  
    3         Delete lines 1051 - 1058
    4  and insert:
    5         the department’s current estimate of value. the department
    6  begins the process for disposing of the property on its own
    7  initiative, either by negotiation under the provisions of
    8  paragraph (a), paragraph (c), paragraph (d), or paragraph (i),
    9  or by receipt of sealed competitive bids or public auction under
   10  the provisions of paragraph (b) or paragraph (i), a department
   11  staff appraiser may determine the fair market value of the
   12  property by an appraisal.
