    1                        A bill to be entitled                      
    2         An act relating to county contributions to the
    3         Medicaid program; creating a study group to evaluate
    4         the percentage of funds that counties are required to
    5         contribute to the Medicaid program; requiring that the
    6         study group provide recommendations to the Governor
    7         and Legislature; providing an effective date.

    9  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
   10  
   11         Section 1. County contributions to the Medicaid program.—
   12         (1) The Department of Children and Families shall convene a
   13  study group to evaluate the percentage of funds that counties
   14  are required to provide to the Medicaid program for certain
   15  items of care and service under s. 409.915, Florida Statutes.
   16         (2) The study group shall provide an assessment of each
   17  county’s distribution of funds to Medicaid recipients and submit
   18  recommendations to the Governor, the President of the Senate,
   19  and the Speaker of the House of Representatives by July 1, 2014.
   20         Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2013.
