       The Committee on Governmental Oversight and Accountability
       (Ring) recommended the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Delete line 22
    4  and insert:
    5  evening hours. A district school board is deemed to be in
    6  compliance with this paragraph if it maintains, and operates in
    7  accordance with, a policy that requires the portion of a regular
    8  meeting that is open to public comment to begin no earlier than
    9  4:30 p.m.

   12         And the title is amended as follows:
   13         Delete line 7
   14  and insert:
   15         meeting; providing that a district school board is
   16         deemed to be in compliance under certain
   17         circumstances; providing an effective date.
