    2         An act relating to Medicaid managed care; amending s.
    3         409.972, F.S.; providing an exemption from mandatory
    4         enrollment in managed care for children residing in
    5         certain licensed residential programs approved by the
    6         Department of Children and Families; providing an
    7         effective date.

    9  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
   10  
   11         Section 1. Paragraph (f) is added to subsection (2) of
   12  section 409.972, Florida Statutes, to read:
   13         409.972 Mandatory and voluntary enrollment.—
   14         (2) The following Medicaid-eligible persons are exempt from
   15  mandatory managed care enrollment required by s. 409.965, and
   16  may voluntarily choose to participate in the managed medical
   17  assistance program:
   18         (f) Children residing in a Department of Children and
   19  Families licensed residential program approved as a Medicaid
   20  behavioral health overlay services provider.
   21         Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2013.
