       Senator Bean moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)

    3         Between lines 1426 and 1427
    4  insert:
    5         Section 29. Paragraph (aaaa) is added to subsection (4) of
    6  section 320.08056, Florida Statutes, to read:
    7         320.08056 Specialty license plates.—
    8         (4) The following license plate annual use fees shall be
    9  collected for the appropriate specialty license plates:
   10         (aaaa) American Legion license plate, $25.
   11         Section 30. Subsection (79) is added to section 320.08058,
   12  Florida Statutes, to read:
   13         320.08058 Specialty license plates.—
   14         (79) AMERICAN LEGION LICENSE PLATES.—
   15         (a) Notwithstanding s. 320.08053(1) and s. 45, chapter
   16  2008-176, Laws of Florida, as amended by s. 21, chapter 2010
   17  223, Laws of Florida, the department shall develop an American
   18  Legion license plate as provided in s. 320.08053(2) and (3) and
   19  this section. The plate must bear the colors and design approved
   20  by the department. The word “Florida” must appear at the top of
   21  the plate, and the words “American Legion” must appear at the
   22  bottom of the plate.
   23         (b) The department shall retain all annual use fees from
   24  the sale of such plates until all startup costs for developing
   25  and issuing the plates have been recovered. Thereafter, the
   26  annual use fees from the sale of the plate shall be distributed
   27  to the American Legion Department of Florida, which may use up
   28  to 10 percent of such fees for administrative costs and
   29  marketing of the plate. The balance of the fees shall be used by
   30  the American Legion Department of Florida to support Florida
   31  American Legion Boys State, the American Legion Department of
   32  Florida Veteran Affairs and Rehabilitation program, and the
   33  Gilchrist Endowment Fund.
