       The Committee on Appropriations (Bean) recommended the
       following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)

    3         Between lines 1484 and 1485
    4  insert:
    5         Section 29. Paragraph (aaaa) is added to subsection (4) of
    6  section 320.08056, Florida Statutes, to read:
    7         320.08056 Specialty license plates.—
    8         (4) The following license plate annual use fees shall be
    9  collected for the appropriate specialty license plates:
   10         (aaaa) American Legion license plate, $25.
   11         Section 30. Subsection (79) is added to section 320.08058,
   12  Florida Statutes, to read:
   13         320.08058 Specialty license plates.—
   14         (79) AMERICAN LEGION LICENSE PLATES.—
   15         (a) The department shall develop an American Legion license
   16  plate as provided in this section. The plate must bear the
   17  colors and design approved by the department and must
   18  incorporate the American Legion emblem. The word “Florida” must
   19  appear at the top of the plate, and the words “American Legion”
   20  must appear at the bottom of the plate.
   21         (b) The American Legion Department of Florida shall retain
   22  all annual use fees from the sale of the plate until all of its
   23  startup costs for developing and issuing the plate have been
   24  recovered. Thereafter, the American Legion Department of Florida
   25  may use up to 10 percent of such fees for administrative costs
   26  and marketing of the plate. The balance of the fees shall be
   27  used by the American Legion Department of Florida to support
   28  Florida American Legion Boys State, the American Legion
   29  Department of Florida Veteran Affairs and Rehabilitation
   30  program, and the Gilchrist Endowment Fund.
