       The Committee on Rules (Latvala) recommended the following:
       
    1         Senate Substitute for Amendment (816478) (with directory
    2  and title amendments)

    4         Between lines 401 and 402
    5  insert:
    6         (18) LOCAL OFFICERS; EMPLOYMENT RESTRICTION.—
    7         (a) For purposes of this section, “managerial or
    8  administrative position” is limited to employment as a local
    9  government attorney or the chief administrative officer of the
   10  city, town, or village.
   11         (b) A person who has been elected to any city, town, or
   12  village office may not be employed in a managerial or
   13  administrative position by another city, town, or village within
   14  the same county during his or her term of office.
