    2         An act relating to Citizens Property Insurance
    3         Corporation; amending s. 20.055, F.S.; requiring the
    4         corporation to have an inspector general; conforming a
    5         definition; providing an effective date.

    7  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
    8  
    9         Section 1. Paragraphs (a) and (b) of subsection (1) of
   10  section 20.055, Florida Statutes, are amended to read:
   11         20.055 Agency inspectors general.—
   12         (1) For the purposes of this section:
   13         (a) “State agency” means each department created pursuant
   14  to this chapter, and also includes the Executive Office of the
   15  Governor, the Department of Military Affairs, the Fish and
   16  Wildlife Conservation Commission, the Office of Insurance
   17  Regulation of the Financial Services Commission, the Office of
   18  Financial Regulation of the Financial Services Commission,
   19  Citizens Property Insurance Corporation, the Public Service
   20  Commission, the Board of Governors of the State University
   21  System, the Florida Housing Finance Corporation, and the state
   22  courts system.
   23         (b) “Agency head” means the Governor, a Cabinet officer, a
   24  secretary as defined in s. 20.03(5), or an executive director as
   25  defined in s. 20.03(6). It also includes the chair of the Public
   26  Service Commission, the Director of the Office of Insurance
   27  Regulation of the Financial Services Commission, the Director of
   28  the Office of Financial Regulation of the Financial Services
   29  Commission, the board of governors of Citizens Property
   30  Insurance Corporation, the board of directors of the Florida
   31  Housing Finance Corporation, and the Chief Justice of the State
   32  Supreme Court.
   33         Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2013.
