       Senator Stargel moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Delete line 377
    4  and insert:
    5  accepting partial rent for the period. If partial rent is
    6  received after posting the notice for non-payment, the landlord
    7  must:
    8         1. Provide the tenant with a receipt stating the date and
    9  amount received and the agreed upon date and balance of rent due
   10  before filing an action for possession; or
   11         2. Place the amount of partial rent received from the
   12  tenant in the registry of the court upon filing the action for
   13  possession; or
   14         3. Post a new 3-day notice reflecting the new amount due.

   19  and insert:
   20  
   21         by accepting partial rent, subject to certain notice;
   22         requiring the landlord to follow specified procedures
   23         if the landlord receives partial rent after posting
   24         the 3-day notice;
