       Senator Flores moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment 
    2  
    3         Delete lines 370 - 378
    4  and insert:
    5  
    6  alimony. If the court finds that the party has met its burden in
    7  demonstrating a need for alimony and that the other party has
    8  the ability to pay alimony, the court shall determine a monthly
    9  award of alimony that may not exceed 35 percent of the obligor’s
   10  gross monthly income, as calculated under s. 61.30(2)(a), with
   11  the exception that gross income does not include, consistent
   12  with paragraph (3)(h), sources of income acquired outside of the
   13  marriage which were not relied upon during the marriage.
