    1                        A bill to be entitled                      
    2         An act relating to school district educational
    3         programs; requiring that a school district be given
    4         specified lead time to plan and budget for
    5         implementation of certain new state requirements;
    6         providing an effective date.

    8  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
    9  
   10         Section 1. A school district shall be given lead time of at
   11  least 1 year before implementation of any new requirements of
   12  the Florida K-20 Education Code, chapters 1000-1013, Florida
   13  Statutes, that are brought about by the enactment of a new
   14  educational program or by changes to a major educational
   15  program, to allow the district to properly plan and budget for
   16  implementation of those new requirements.
   17         Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2013.
