       Senator Detert moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment 
    2  
    3         Delete lines 196 - 202
    4  and insert:
    5         (4) A person who solicits signatures may not receive any
    6  monetary compensation, a promise of employment, or any other
    7  reward for soliciting signatures and may not offer monetary
    8  compensation, a promise of employment, or any other reward to a
    9  parent for signing a petition. A for-profit corporation, not
   10  for-profit corporation, business, or entity is prohibited from
   11  soliciting signatures or paying others to solicit signatures.
   12  Signature-soliciting activity shall be performed by individual,
   13  uncompensated volunteers who are parents of students enrolled in
   14  the affected school.
