    4  insert:
    5         Section 6. Subsection (15) of section 553.73, Florida
    6  Statutes, is amended to read:
    7         553.73 Florida Building Code.—
    8         (15) An agency or local government may not require that
    9  existing mechanical equipment located on or above the surface of
   10  a roof be installed in compliance with the requirements of the
   11  Florida Building Code except when until the equipment is being
   12  required to be removed or replaced or moved during reroofing and
   13  is not in compliance with the provisions of the Florida Building
   14  Code relating to roof-mounted mechanical units.
