    2         A resolution recognizing the 2014 State Champion J.W.
    3         Mitchell High School ice hockey team.

    5         WHEREAS, J.W. Mitchell High School in New Port Richey is
    6  known for consistently living up to its slogan, “We make
    7  excellence matter. Mustangs do this every day, every lesson,
    8  every class period, and every time,” and
    9         WHEREAS, on February 23, 2014, the J.W. Mitchell High
   10  School Mustangs ice hockey team won its second Tier II state
   11  championship in three seasons, and
   12         WHEREAS, the J.W. Mitchell High School Mustangs ice hockey
   13  team finished the season with a 16-2-1 record, outscoring the
   14  opposition by 66 points, and
   15         WHEREAS, the J.W. Mitchell High School Mustangs ice hockey
   16  team demonstrates excellence both on and off the ice, NOW,
   17  THEREFORE,

   19  Be It Resolved by the Senate of the State of Florida:

   21         That the 2014 State Champion J.W. Mitchell High School ice
   22  hockey team is recognized for making excellence matter both on
   23  and off the ice.
